Interim TMS Project Manager (Freelance / ZZP)

Are you an experienced TMS Project Manager with a proven track record in selecting and implementing Transport Management Systems? For a strategic global logistics initiative, we are looking for a hands-on, results-driven professional (freelance/ZZP possible) who can lead a full TMS trajectory, from longlist and vendor selection through implementation, go-live, and hypercare.

In this assignment, you will play a key role in transforming Enza Zaden’s global logistics operations into a standardized, scalable, and data-driven environment.

What will you do

As an Interim TMS Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the TMS program, ensuring alignment with business needs and successful adoption across a global organization.

Key responsibilities:

Vendor Selection (Longlist ? Shortlist ? Selection)

• Lead the TMS selection process, including RFI/RFP, vendor evaluation, and business case validation

• Challenge requirements and ensure alignment with global logistics processes and Business Dynamics

Project Scoping & Design

• Help defining global “one way of working” for transport processes (import, export, internal flows)

• Set up project scope, roadmap, timelines, and governance

• Align integrations with ERP systems (e.g., ABS, D365) and carriers

Implementation & Delivery

• Lead the implementation of the selected TMS, including configuration, integrations, and testing

• Coordinate external vendors

• Ensure data readiness and process standardization

Go-Live & Hypercare

• Manage go-live planning and execution (pilot ? rollout)

• Lead hypercare phase to stabilize operations and ensure adoption

• Resolve issues quickly and ensure continuity of operations

Change Management & Adoption

• Train key users and ensure transition from manual (Excel/email) to system-based processes

Project Governance

• Manage project execution according to Enza’s project management standards and stage gates.

• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and lead change management activities to ensure adoption and successful implementation

• Manage and monitor project scope, deliverables, risks, timelines, budget, and technology needs. Allocate responsibilities and create a realistic planning framework

• Report on progress and performance to senior stakeholders and steering committee. Safeguard expectations and address escalations promptly.

Your profile

• Bachelor level or higher (HBO/WO)

• Proven experience with multiple TMS implementations (end-to-end) (from vendor selection to go-live)

• Strong background in logistics / supply chain / transport operations

• Experience with system integrations (ERP, carriers, APIs/EDI)

• Strong stakeholder management skills in an international environment

• Hands-on, structured, and able to drive execution

• Experience with change management in global organizations

• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
