Make a difference as Process Engineer  

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the processes and equipment within the global seed processing sites to enable maximum performance and output. Additionally you will also be responsible for designing and selecting processes and equipment within our CAPEX engineering projects. Finally, you will play a crucial role in validating and scaling up innovative laboratory processes into safe, reliable, and efficient operational processes. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions. 

  • Providing structural 3rd line support for analyzing and solving complex processing problems 

  • Developing process designs and specifications (FS, PFD, P&ID) in collaboration with various disciplines; 

  • Leading validation processes (VMP, FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) within complex projects; 

  • Translating innovative laboratory processes into commercial seed processing operations; 

  • Maintaining and sharing global engineering standards for processing and equipment; 

  • Continuously advising on the latest technologies and process improvements; 

 

You will report to the Manager of Engineering & Maintenance and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including the Site Seed Processing Manager, Project Managers, Seed Research & Innovation Engineers, Operators and suppliers. 

 

What you bring as a future colleague 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process Technology or Chemical Engineering; 

  • Medior level: 3-5 years of relevant work experience or Senior level: at least 9 years of experience; 

  • Knowledge of process engineering, automation, and validation principles (VMP, DQ, FAT, IQ, OQ, SAT, PQ); 

  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and RCA/CAPA initiatives; 

  • Affinity with the food or similar industries; 

  • Experience in multidisciplinary projects and methodologies such as Stage Gate and LEAN; 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; 

  • Fluent in Dutch and English; 

  • Willingness to travel internationally.
